This workshop is designed for teachers with English Language Learners in their classrooms, new ESOL teachers, and Instructional, Literacy or Academic coaches. Day 1 will provide a brief overview of identification of ELLs and related state and federal regulations followed by best practices and strategies for working with ELLs in the content area. Day 2 will focus on how to use the English Language Proficiency Standards in conjunction with the CCGPS to differentiate for ELLs in the classroom. PLU can be obtained by attending BOTH sessions and paying an additional $50 fee.
