Course Description More Details
Participants will gain a better understanding of how “unpack” a psychological evaluation and translate its content into practical and usable language for parents, educators, and administrators. We will explore sample psychologicals for each of the following eligibility categories: EBD, SLD, Autism, and OHI. We will look at IQ subtests and what they can tell us, along with other assessment data that can be considered in developing appropriate programs for students with disabilities. We will use scores and results within each sample psychological to write hypothetical impact statements, identify relative strengths, identify specialized instruction and accommodations, develop a student profile for general education teacher (IEP at a glance), and determine required supports in each content area for successful access to the curriculum.
