Day 1 Content: Basics of IDEA and other relevant laws, characteristics and appropriate supports for each of the disability categories, appropriate roles and responsibilities of paraprofessionals, basic principles of behaviorism, data collection, the differences between accommodations and modifications, and components of an IEP
Day 2 Content:
-How to successfully differentiate and tier materials and assessments based on individual student needs, specialized instruction, behavioral supports, implementation of IEPs, data collection, and compliance. Participants will have an opportunity to apply concepts during embedded work sessions and will be provided reproducible materials and resources.
