The term Balanced Literacy indicates that readers need a variety of different opportunities to learn. During Reading Workshop, children have time to read and the teacher not only instills the love of reading into the students, but also provides explicit instruction in the skills and strategies of proficient reading. In this course participants will experience Reading Workshop and learn how to implement this model in their classrooms. |
