Course Description More Details
Districts are encouraged to send administrators and teacher-leaders who can re-deliver the content at the district or school level. The content will include the following:
Participants will learn the differences between differentiation, universal design for learning, scaffolding, accommodations & modifications and specialized instruction. Participants will discuss the strategic selection of specially designed instruction based on student learning characteristics and needs.
Participants will learn to identify processing deficits and recognize how they are manifested in the classroom. Participants will learn to identify appropriate specialized instructional strategies based on specific processing deficits. Participants will learn to embed specialized instructional strategies into co-taught and/or supportive instruction models of instruction.
