Course Description More Details
Background knowledge of FBA/BIP is beneficial.
This training will allow participants the opportunity to use the function of behavior, and the information developed in the Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA), to identify function-based interventions which will support implementation of a Behavior Intervention Plan. Participants will be given the opportunity to identify interventions which will be effective in preventing problem behavior by making sure that the antecedent strategies identified directly address the antecedents identified in the FBA and directly address the function of the student’s behavior. This training will allow the participant to use modeling, guided practice, and feedback using student examples to develop function-based interventions. General Education as well as Special Education teachers will benefit from the training.
