Middle school math teachers (6-8) will meet to collaborate with others who teach the same grade level. Each grade level will engage in exploring best-practices and strategies to be used with students in helping to build a strong mathematical foundation. Participants are encouraged to bring with them their successful ideas and specific ways they use them in their math lessons. All shared ideas will be correlated with the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE). This day will be dedicated for a time to discuss with others the concerns and questions, and to share ideas to help strengthen their program. The plan is to build a Middle School (6-8) Math professional learning community and discuss possible meeting dates or even setting up an online community. Groups will be arranged by grade levels.
