VIRTUAL COURSE - Guided Reading: Guided by Fountas & Pinnell’s Literacy Continuum, participants will learn the structure of a guided reading lesson. Specially focusing on text selection, introductions, teaching for comprehension, and word work. Participants will review the reading process: thinking within, about, and beyond the texts. We analyze leveled books to better understand the F & P text level gradient and how to match books to readers. Learn how assessment and running records as well as anecdotal evidence help inform instruction in guided reading.
