**CANCELLED**In this workshop participants will have the opportunity to look at the Framework for Balanced Literacy and share strategies for being more purposeful with matching students with texts through close reading and comprehension strategies. This session will provide strategies to help motivate students to read and reread challenging texts with purpose and discovery, examine key features of close reading, and identify the steps for preparing and planning a close reading lesson.
