Course Description More Details
This course lays the foundation for exploring biases and stereotypes and learning to move beyond them when working with students, families, and colleagues. Through dialogue and activity, participants will analyze their own perceptions and discover how to use diversity as a strength when working with others. Topics include: defining diversity including primary and secondary dimensions, personal biases and their impact on perceptions, creating environments that value diversity, and applying understanding of diversity to your work.
