Course Description More Details
GaDOE will provide technical assistance for The Early Language and Literacy Mini-Grant Program which is a competitive grant system designed to invest in partnerships across communities to target birth to age 8 language and literacy development needs. This session will provide an overview of the grant system, explain the eligibility requirements for the grant, and give specific guidance for successfully completing a grant application. Some partnerships that would be supported by these funds might include childcare centers, Pre-Ks, primary grades of elementary schools, local service agencies, and local nonprofits. Grants for this program will be awarded in amounts ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 for projects that are aligned to one of the four pillars of the Get Georgia Reading Campaign.
