This collaborative is a book study and discussion group that focuses on improving instructional practices in the 5 pillars of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. The books used will be the Teacher Reading Sourcebook Third Edition and Assessing Reading Multiple Measures Revised Second Edition. These books will be provided to the participants. Follow up activities will include assessing students and providing instruction in the area of reading.
