FACE to FACE
This comprehensive training series is designed to equip educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively implement Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) for students with disabilities based on their individual needs. The course will provide an in-depth understanding of SDI principles (what SDI is and is not), strategies, and best practices in order to plan, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of specially designed instruction to allow students with disabilities to make educational progress towards individual IEP goals as mandated by IDEA.
Participants will explore the following key topics:
Understanding the differences between UDL, DI, HLP’s, MTSS, and SDI
Using and interpreting data sources to plan for SDI within a variety of settings
Writing strong PLAAFP and measurable IEP goals in order to implement SDI
Utilizing Data Based Individualization (DBI) to monitor student progress
By the end of the course (four training sessions), participants will have a robust toolkit to address the unique needs of students with disabilities, fostering greater academic success and promoting a more inclusive, equitable educational experience. Please register for all four training sessions as this is a comprehensive training series.
