Growing Readers participants will engage in building knowledge, skill, and confidence in the teaching of Reading. Content for the 2 day session will include work around Read-Alouds used as mentor texts, high-impact phonics instruction for small groups, the use of decodables and authentic texts during independent practice time, and designing strategy groups for small groups of students who would benefit from learning specific strategies to help these students master definite skills in order to attain individual reading goals.
RESA Growing Readers Coaching Specialists will deliver content and practice by participants will be in designated small groups. Lots of engaging activities are planned.
