In partnership with The Deal Center, Pioneer RESA is excited to offer this yearlong professional learning series designed to equip district and school leaders with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to transform literacy instruction. Grounded in the Science of Reading and structured literacy, the series emphasizes high-quality Tier 1 instruction, data-driven decision-making, and systems-level implementation.

Leaders will deepen their understanding of literacy frameworks and instructional “look-fors,” strengthen assessment literacy to align instruction across tiers, and explore strategies for effective scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation. The series also addresses misalignments between curriculum, instruction, assessment, and interventions while providing guidance on investing in coaching and professional learning that supports sustained growth.

Through collaborative problem-solving, participants will leverage PLCs and MTSS to monitor progress, drive continuous improvement, and build scalable systems that ensure long-term literacy success.

The series includes four in-person sessions from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (October 27, 2025; January 27, 2026; March 23, 2026; June 10, 2026) and three virtual sessions from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM (December 12, 2025; February 20, 2026; April 17, 2026). To maximize collaboration and impact, we ask that district leaders bring at least one additional district leader or administrator, and that school administrators bring at least one other leader from their school. Full participation in all sessions is essential, as each session builds on the ideas and concepts from the previous one.
